Day 33: ONE

Republica de Colombia uses the Peso. It is worth about 28 cents. This coin is quite nicely designed on its Tails side. It is El arbol de Guacari Guacari's tree, in recognition of the efforts by the people of Guacari, Valle del Cauca to preserve the environment and protect the ecology. I had a splendid two week stint in Colombia in 2011 and did not spend very many of these as I was too busy to shop! I kept a few though, for my next visit to the city of Pereira and a very friendly school whose students made me laugh.
